How Do I Get Involved?

We have in-person worship services on Sundays at 11:00, and you will still be able to join in on Zoom if you prefer.  Email the church office (office@sleepyhollowumc.org) to register and get the Zoom link.

We use Zoom to stay connected and to offer a remote alternative for attending worship services, fellowship times, Bible studies, prayer meetings and administrative meetings.  Use your phone (landline or smart phone), ipad or computer to join in.

How Do We Communicate?

Ways to Participate in Worship:
Be a Liturgist (Reader):  Read a passage of Scripture, a prayer, or liturgy during the service.  We will send you the reading ahead of time so you can practice it.  We can pre-record your reading if you prefer.

Project the Slides:  We use Power Point presentations in our online worship.  Learn how to build and/or project the worship presentation;  this is a vital part of the ministry of worship at SHUMC.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is a vital part of our mission and ministry.  Everyone can participate.

Prayer in Worship: Each week we bring the prayers of the people before God in our worship service.

Monday Night Prayer Group: Monday nights, on Zoom from 7:30 – 8:15 PM, except on Federal holidays.  Email the church office to register and get the Zoom link:  office@sleepyhollowumc.org

Adult Bible Study

Wednesday Evening Bible Study
Wednesday evenings in May, at 7:00 on Zoom.
We will look at some common sayings that may or may not be completely true!

Our study book is the Bible, along with Adam Hamilton’s book,  Half Truths:  God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say.

This 5-week study will search for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés with the wisdom found in Scripture. The clichés include:
    Everything happens for a reason.
God helps those who help themselves.
God won’t give you more than you can handle.
God said it, I believe it, that settles it.
Love the sinner, hate the sin.
Email the church office to register for the Zoom link:  office@sleepyhollowumc.org
